Review: Blood is Magic

Blood is Magic Blood is Magic by Alix Adale
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Rowan has had since her divorce from her ex-husband Burke. When Jill assigns her the Lotomaw Murder House her luck seems to continue to plummet. When she misses her perspective buyer's appointment due to another slashed tire, she arrives to see a scary figure that causes her to vacate the property as fast as her car "Mr. Reliable" will take her but she strikes a pedestrian on her way out. The handsome gentleman swears he is unharmed, but she knows she must have harmed him in some way, but she's taken with his Irish brogue and accepts his word on it. Her work seems to have a creepy cult vibe about it and makes one wonder if Jill is involved in the bad things that happen to Rowan every day.

"Blood is Magic" was a good read, but it didn't seem to evolve into more than that. The basic storyline is interesting, but there were some conversations and situations that just didn't click for me or in some cases make sense. I love vampire romances but I felt like Colin and Rowan didn't have enough chemistry between them, and Burke and Cherise were awkward. I'm not sure if I will read another book in this series since it was not very memorable to me.

I loved this book so much and was able to relate to Ginger and her dating problems, it was so much like mine before I might my "Lance". My now hubby, is also a tall good looking, fit, businessman that I would never have thought would be interested in me. But now almost 14 years later, I know he loves me just the way I am, however that is! Despite what I may think of myself!
